The appearance on the Ukrainian market of a major foreign project Revolt

At the end of 2021, a new major British project Revolt entered the market in Ukraine. Of course, this news became very much discussed and did not bypass many specialists, Nikita Izmailov, one of the investors of the fintech fund N1, is no exception. He is also known for other major projects, but he earned his main capital in cooperation with the bookmaker's office Pari Match. In general, Nikita commented on the project and expectations.

What is Revolt?

This is a modern banking service without branches. Among the main products of the project are:

  • Card.
  • Mobile application.

It is worth noting that it is possible to link the card to several accounts and currencies at once. For example, if a payment in dollars is required, the money will be debited from the corresponding account. It's also possible to convert if, for some reason, there isn't enough money on the main account.

At the moment Revolt already gives an opportunity to buy different kinds of assets, for example, cryptocurrencies or valuable assets. And now more than 16 million users work with the company, and the turnover exceeds the amount of 150 million per month.

How did you start working on the Ukrainian market?

Only half a year ago the project started its active development. Immediately there were 25 vacancies, and this is really not surprising. There are a lot of competent specialists throughout the country who know how to work and develop projects. So the work will continue in the future and there will be hiring, most often for remote positions.

Why the Ukrainian market has attracted attention now?

There are three main factors to consider when examining this question:

  • The co-founder, who has a lot of connections and experience in order to facilitate constant development and expansion. And now there is sufficiently low competition in the chosen niche, other companies have not yet drawn attention to this sector.
  • Transaction Flow. In just half a year of operation, the figures have grown by 108 percent. Besides, according to both experts and users, this platform is one of the most convenient.
  • Attracting investments. Thanks to new investors, it is possible to constantly scale the given enterprise and constantly occupy new markets. The sums are impressive, as it really is a promising project.

Possible difficulties in Ukraine

Now there are other neobanks in the country, and by the number of customer base the closest is Mono. But Revolt is less competitive because it does not have the ability to lend as other projects and maintain a high level. The reason is very simple, the model did not include earnings from the loan portfolio, everything is built on transactions.

That is, development requires cooperation with other financial institutions or a whole group. But it is important to have experience. In addition, there are no in-house experts, so you just can't do without close cooperation with local specialists and organizations.
